Long time Pearland resident is selected as new Keep Pearland Beautiful (KPB) Executive Director. The KPB Board of Directors selected Andrew J. Miller as their new executive director at their regular meeting on March 17.

KEEP PEARLAND BEAUTIFUL HOSTED 2013 PLANT THYME FALL LUNCHEON
Pearland, TX. (October 17, 2013) – Keep Pearland Beautiful hosted its 10th Annual Plant Thyme Fall Luncheon
On Friday October 11, 2013 Keep Pearland Beautiful hosted the 10th annual Plant Thyme Fall Luncheon at the Pearland Community Center, with featured speaker John Irwin from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
Over 135 participants helped Keep Pearland Beautiful raise over $14,000 for the Joe Miller Environmental Scholarship and KPB education programs. To date, KPB has awarded $24,500 to graduating Pearland seniors pursuing higher education, through the Joe Miller Environmental Scholarship.

Keep Pearland Beautiful is an environmental non-profit affiliated with Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful. Founded in 1982 as Clean Pearland, KPB has been “empowering Pearland citizens to take responsibility for their environment” for the past 30 years. KPB currently serves over 10,000 households, with 250 members, through litter prevention, waste reduction, and beautification programs. From organizing and running the first recycling program, to the development of hike and bike trails, initiating the Adopt-A-Spot program, to collecting Household Hazardous Waste and developing KIPPERS (Kids in Pearland Preserving the Environment through Responsible Service) in local middle schools, KPB continues to make a difference in the community in which we live and work.
