Keep Pearland Beautiful and Brazoria County Master Gardener Association invites you to a free lecture “Fire Ants, Their Behavior and Control.”
According to the Texas Agrilife Extention “The impact of red imported fire ants in the state of Texas is estimated to be $1.2 billion annually. Red imported fire ants are pests of urban, agricultural and wildlife areas and can pose a serious health threat to plants and animals. ” Learn more about the efforts Texas-wide to eliminate this invasive species as a major economic and medical pest from Agrilife Pest Management Specialist Paul Nestor.
The lectures are on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m..
The lecture will be in the”Multipurpose Room” of the Pearland Recreation Center, 4141 Bailey Rd. Pearland, Texas.
There is no charge for these educational garden lectures. Come when the doors open at 6:45 p.m., enjoy dessert and coffee, and visit with other attendees. Keep Pearland Beautiful will provide coffee and dessert for participants.
