Over the years, Keep Pearland Beautiful has played a vital role in educating and increasing participation in the city’s recycling program and now will play an even more critical role in ensuring all Pearland residents have access to recycling.
Here’s what changes you can expect beginning Jan. 1:
- Hours of Operation: Tuesday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. & Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Household Hazardous Waste will be accepted during regular hours of operation
- Residents outside of Brazoria County will be able to drop off televisions and computer monitors with a donation to KPB of $.50 per pound
- Residents outside Brazoria County will be able to drop off Household Hazardous Waste with a donation to KPB of $1 per pound
Keep Pearland Beautiful will also be remodeling the Recycling Center to include new offices for KPB from Nov. 2015 to Jan. 2016. The Recycling Center is expected to continue to operate throughout the construction process.
Since its inception in 1982, KPB then, Clean Pearland, ran a recycling center that began in the Lion’s Club parking lot. The previous recycling facility, located on Old Alvin Road closed in 2004 when the Stella Roberts Recycling Center opened. For more information on this transition, please call 281.652.1659.
